Important information regarding Forsyth County Championship meet on June 25 or 26:

Here is a quick summary so you can decide if you want/need to read this entire email:

• All CRC swimmers are eligible to compete in the Forsyth County Championship meet. There are no qualifying times.
• This meet is at the Olympic pool at Georgia Tech so your swimmer can swim in the same facility that hosted the Olympics!
• Due to Covid restrictions on the Tech campus, spectators will not be allowed in the building. There will be a live stream of the event.
• Our team can have one volunteer per 8 swimmers, so there is a chance you could attend to watch your child swim if you are willing to volunteer.
• The meet will be a morning or afternoon session on Friday, June 25 or Saturday, June 26. The session is approximately 4 hour long. The session will be timed finals.  There will be no separate event for the finals as there was in the past.  We are waiting on the Atlanta Swim Association to give us a certain date and time.
• In a typical year the pool is absolutely packed with swimmers and spectators. Hopefully we can do this again in 2022 and beyond, but this year it is a no-go. See this video from 2019 for reference:

• If you would like to attend, then read on below!
• If you think this is not for you or you will be out of town, then please go to the SwimTopia app and tell us that you will not be attending by June 12. If you don't respond at all then we waste precious time chasing you down to get an answer.

So you want to come to the County meet? Yay! Here's what you need to know:

• Please go to the SwimTopia app and let us know that you're attending by June 12.
• Respond to this email if you would like to volunteer.
• As with a typical meet, our coaches will decide which events and relays your child will swim in.
• Stay tuned for important information regarding arriving at the facility. We have to enter as a complete team so we will create a rendezvous point outside the facility.
